How to make bird toys with coconut shell.

Here's how you can make adorable bird toys using coconut shells.




Materials :-


1. Coconut shells :-  (washed and dried)


2. Acrylic paints in various colors


3. Paintbrushes


4. Black marker


5.White glue


6. Scissors


7. Craft knife


8. Googly eyes (various sizes)


9. Feathers


10. Pipe cleaners


11. Optional :- Yarn or string for hanging.


Instructions :-


1. Prepare the Coconut Shell :-


  •  Using a craft knife, carefully cut a circular opening in the top of the coconut shell to create the bird's body.


  • Smooth any rough edges with sandpaper.


2. Paint the Shell :-


  •  Choose your desired colors for the birds.


  • Paint the entire coconut shell with the base color. Let it dry completely.


  • Add details like wings, beaks, and feet using different colors. Let it dry.


3. Add Googly Eyes :-


  • Glue the googly eyes onto the front of the coconut shell.


4. Create the Crest :-


  •  Cut a small piece of pipe cleaner and twist it into a spiral shape for the bird's crest.


  • Glue the crest to the top of the coconut shell.


5. Make the Wings :-


  •  Cut out small wing shapes from colored feathers or felt.


  • Glue the wings to the sides of the coconut shell.


6. Add Feet :-


  • Cut small pieces of pipe cleaner and bend them into foot shapes.


  • Glue the feet to the bottom of the coconut shell.


7. Decorate (Optional) :-


  •  Add yarn or string to the top of the coconut shell to hang your bird.


  • You can also add other decorative elements like beads or sequins.


Tips :-


  • Use a variety of colors and patterns to create unique birds.


  • Experiment with different sizes and shapes of googly eyes and feathers.


  • If you don't have pipe cleaners, you can use wire or even twigs for the crest and feet.
